I'M FINALLY BACK!!!! ^^

Hellooooo guys!!

I know it's been a really really long time... Let's say that I've been on a hiatus for a while. As you know I was really busy with my course on my latest posts and I was also not feeling so well because of the nausea I had on the start of my pregnancy. I felt much better later in my pregnancy, but I was still busy with my studies and daily life~

Hehe... That's me while studying.. :p (I don't own the picture)

Okay so my blog was supposed to be about my journey while studying fashion design, but I saw that I couldn't keep you updated at the same time as I was studying because there was no time. So do you want to know where in my journey I'm right now?? I actually finished my studies for becoming a fashion designer in the end of June!! XD Yeay! Lol it maybe surprised you... But yes, I actually finished my studies but there was some changes that happened. If you've read my previous posts you know that I was supposed to study about six different courses to reach my goal of being a fashion designer. At that time I was studying the first course, "The basics of fashion". But later on changes came and Style Academy decided to close because the owner wanted more free time as she was so busy with her academy.

So when I heard that... I didn't give up in first place which I may have done because it was a sad thing for me as I wanted to finish my studies and there was obviously not much time left until they would close (about four/three month I think). But I did contact her and asked "What should I do?? You know that this is my dream and I really want to finish now before I give birth because I know I'm going to be busy later on. Do you think I can study all the remaining courses on the time left?". And thanks God she didn't say yes to that because I would have felt dead studying all that XD I wouldn't have been able to do that... So she told me instead that I can take another course that they have, and it was an intensive course for a Diploma in Fashion Design!! So I was so lucky that she offered me that. I thought a bit about it and then I told her yes I'm going to go for that course!

Even thought my first course had nothing to do with the new one as I was going to study the same things again and more, I still decided to finish my first course and then start with the new one. It was a good choice because I learnt a few things from the first course, some details, that I didn't learn in the next one. It also meant that I would get diplomas for the both courses, so the first one didn't go to waste. The Diploma in Fashion Design Intensive course had everything I had to learn to become a fashion designer in one course, instead of being divided in six different courses. I studied all the lectures and then did my Final Project, which was really fun! I may talk more about the project in a other post but I can say that it was a success and the teacher really liked it! ;-) I finished my final project in the end of June and then had a kind of vacation on July just for resting and having some free time.

I've been wanting to post on my blog for a really long time but I never found the time to do that. Now I did finish my main studies, but who said that my journey has ended?? The journey has just started!! So that means I will keep this blog alive~ ;-) And I hope there's going to be more fun updates from now on as I'm more free.

Just a notice: Today night me and the owner of Style Academy, who was also my main teacher, decided to meet to get my diplomas!! *\(^o^)/* They usually send you the diploma, but I asked if we could meet in a cafe. That's so I can meet her by person which I really wanted to do, and at the same time get my diplomas! ~~<333
Wish me luck! =)

Cute gift idea for a little fashion lover!

Hello girls! Hope everyone's having good days and that the summer is here soon (because it's still cold here >_< )! I know, I know... I've been really bad in updating my blog even though I have tons of ideas in my head that I really want to post. I will try to post at least once a week, I hope it will work! Today I'm going to give you a gift idea for a little fashion and design lover! If you know someone young that have a dream to become a fashion designer or that you think would like to draw fashion just for fun, this gift would be super good! So the gift I'm talking about is actually a book named "Drawing Fashion" by Hilary Lovell. I bought this book a few years ago before I started my fashion design studies. And even thought it's a book for younger ages, I loved it! Because I really, REALLY love fashion, it was a very happy moment for me getting this book. I bought it here in Sweden, so I have the swedish version. Honest...

Which fashion designer is your favorite?

Hmm... Fashion designer's are...  my future "workmates"?? xD  (Lol I don't  mean working together, I'm refering to working in the same business industry ;p hehe). Okay let's get to the point! Is there any fashion designer that you love or see as an inspiration? For me... actually... even though I've always been interested in fashion, to be honest, I didn't know so much information about fashion designer's. Of course if I saw a random runway on TV I did like to watch it, and I still do! But I always thought about the designs, not the designer himself. So I haven't been "stalking" any fashion designer, if you get what I mean ;p  Anyway, for our extra assignment for lecture 1, we had to choose a fashion designer to write about him/her. So it was hard to choose as there's MANY fashion designer's out there. I started with reading short about 36 famous and historical fashion designer's, and then I chose 11 from them that ...

How and where you can design your own shoes... Talking about Shoes of Prey!

Hello girls! Do we have any shoe lovers here?? ;-) In this post and in the comming one, I'm going to talk about Shoes of Prey !  The company that makes your own shoe design! I don't know if you've heard about Shoes of Prey or not.. . But Shoes of Prey was founded by Michael Fox, Mike Knapp and Jodie Fox in Sydney in 2009.  I heard about them a few years ago. I belive it was in 2009 or 2010. At that time the youtuber Michelle Phan uploaded a video about how she designed her own shoes and showed us the finish product. And since that time, I saved their webbsite. I can't find Michelle Phans video anymore though. I really liked the idea of designing your own shoes, and not just that, they're handmade! I keept checking their site from time to time, and I realized how they improved and they keep adding new choices. Here's an introduction video to Shoes of Prey so you can understand a bit more of how it actually works! So that was a bit about Shoes ...
